PLEASE check fuel receipts against your bank statements.

I have now heard of three people paying more on their card than what it says on their receipts from petrol stations.

These people have told me they have paid pounds over the odds, and a company is now checking all of its receipts after a certain petrol station gave them some money back.

I am new to MSE, so any correspondance and advice would be appreciated.

I have no sympathy for people who cannot confirm amounts printed on pin pads when you enter your pin

I find it hard to believe to change the amounts after the transaction completes

Dare I say it in 'Bradford' a few years ago certain down & out type garages were copying cards when processing the payments.

They were taking 'minprints' of the numbers on the cards, Then emptying accounts.

It was not long before WY Police were onto it.

Always better to pay in cash at Fuel stations, If you get my drift...
