You joke about "pods" but isn't doing away with separate kitchens and taking the bath out of bathrooms just the thin end of the wedge?

Before much longer anything more than a single person household will be living like maggots in a tin, and as for storage for all that "stuff" bought on credit...

  • does a townhouse have to be in or near the town centre? otherwise is it just a terraced house?

if you convert the loft in a 2 floor terraced house does it become a townhouse?

Manageable garden - two square yards with a potted geranium.

  • Outstanding views = the inside is a mess.

Lamborgini thrown in = the house is overpriced.

  • there are a lot of 'villas' around these parts and not a palm tree to be seen.

most of which seem to be situated on ex council 'developments'

And would you believe it there is a BISF (British Iron & Steel Federation) ex-Council house near me with palm trees all over the front and back gardens - so much so that I've often thought of taking a photo of it from an appropriate angle and telling people from out of area that this is the gite we rented in France....

Not forgetting to remove the solid inner supporting walls and replace them with plasterboard.

You never hear them described as 'Two up, Two downs' either.

Any new names for Bungalows or Chalets?

Spacious single story living with expertly conceived loft conversion recently vacated and now with no chain AND VACANT POSSESSION!!
(Reads: Bungalow where previous owner died and the police have had to take the carpets and curtains and all furniture to the tip when the neighbours noticed the flies at the windows 6 months later!)
