Housekeeping 250 (this includes things like food, toiletries, hair etc) Leave at £250, but expect it to be reduced.
Gas/Electricity 92
Water 0
Telephone 62 (this includes land line, mobile and internet) Don't mention internet

This is the baby that the OR tried to keep from me...genuine guidance from their technical manual...
http://www.insolvency.gov.uk/DocumentLibrary/Policy/Excel/Household%20Expenditur.xls
I asked for it several times...they weren't keen on me having it so I went and found it...
In fact I think the link should be ade a sticky..0 -
Firstly, these are old guidlines - from 2007 and expenditure has changed a lot.
Also, an OR looks at your SOA as a whole rather than just specific bits and bobs, so whilst this is a great document, it should not be taken as "gospel". Its only guidelines and not law, so open to interpretation by us and ORs!!!0 -
hi - well I'm in a strange position re monthly income. I am self employed and my last contract was £800 a week - so £3200 every 4 weeks. However, my last contract finished on 5th Sep as I am not well and am now signed off for six weeks and not sure I won't be signed off for another month or so. Am waiting on benefits claim result so I'm kind of in the middle of nothing. Am struggling with the form. I've put I'm unemployed (guessing self employed off sick means unemployed) but do i still need to put monthly income as I obviously don't have one?0

Be careful...I ended up in the big poo as I become unemployed and then self employed after BR (previously PAYE)..I was economic with the truth about my earnings and quite frankly have made my situation substantially worse than it needed to be... As I have found to my peril, they've seen it all before...0
