This looks lovely and easy. I am a bt confused with one thing. Does the pastry only go on the top of the pie. I imagined it would also form the base and sides?0

Pastry goes on the side as well.I hate migraines.0

Just to be really clear (sorry for being thick) but when you say sides you mean lay it over the bottom of the dish and up the sides. Put in chicken ingredients and then put another bit of pastry on top?0

When my OH makes it she never lines the bottom of the dish with pastry just the sides but it's up to you, we don't ike too much pastry, more filling is better :jI hate migraines.0

Yep! I'm useless with pastry so I use the ready rolled stuff
Shortcrust for the bottom and sides, puff pastry for the top. Good luck!

Does anyone know if the low-fat versions of the campbell's soups are ok to use in these kind of recipes? Thanks x0

i always use the campbells soup when making chicken pies too, so much quicker and tastes lovely. i put pastry top and bottm as OH likes a soggy bottom lolOther women want a boob job. Honey the only silicone i'm interested in is on a 12 cup muffin tray, preferably shaped like little hearts0

For years now I have made my chicken pies with a mixture of cooked chicken and chopped cooked bacon with the Campbells condensed mushroom soup. It always goes down very well.Maybe I'm odd but I don't actually like it when made with the chicken soup variety.0 -

I am in a cooking mood today! I currently have a pea and ham soup simmering away in one slow cooker and whole chicken in my other one.
I've been reading about people making a chicken pie with the left over chicken. Could someone please tell me how to do this? The most simple recipe would be great. Please bear in mind I have never cooked with pastry before.
I have some mushrooms in the fridge that also need to be used up. Oh, I am trying to be as healthy food wise at the moment also.
I love pea and ham soup.
Can you tell me your recipe please.
Many thanks.
