He has been admitted to the "clinical decisions" ward which Nan was in last week.
I suppose at least it will give everyone a night to regroup !0 -
Link for you latecomer..put those diy skills to some use!0
-
No idea what sex baby will be and dont want to know. All part of the fun. And I think I'll pass on that link thanks Andy! Got to give the little one a good start to life - which rules out skelfs and crash landings from collapsed diy attempts0

I'm going to be the same LC! Definitely don't want to know the sex until 'it' pops out!0

Did I miss something???????? Suiside's having a baby (or Mrs S)????????? Did you keep that quiet or did I genuinely miss it????????? Or is this future planning :rotfl: . Do we need to congratulate you??????????0 -
Future planning absolutely! Not for a couple of years, house work and travelling to complete first0

Oh - you nearly had me going then! Two babies in two days might have been too much :rotfl: . I like your idea of travelling first, you wont regret it. Once the family comes along it's a bit like a car, you've never any money for yourself because "it" always needs something!0 -
Ooooh, a Little Latecomer! Congratulations to both of you.
And here's some news from here for TM, have been sitting on this for a while now... OH and I are to be Grandparents sometime around the beginning of June. Or probably earlier as it's Twins! :j Both boys - DD and SiL both wanted to know. So guess it's a blue nursery.DD is the size of a house already, poor soul!
But is very happy and seems to be managing the extra weight OK at the mo, though having difficulty reaching her feet!
Suisidevw, hate to admit, but we currently own 2 houses! We knew there was a ton of work to do on the new one, so won't be moving in till it's finished, or at least mostly finished. We did know about the damp. We didn't know about the asbestos, but weren't surprised by it. The house has been built really badly, but it's in a great location and has a lovely garden, so we decided to go for it.
Andy, it's the same brown thermoplastic tiles as you have. We're almost certainly going to replace the floors (sulfate attack), so we will have to have it removed. Got the quote yesterday, think it was £350 + VAT (letter is downstairs and can't be bothered to go down to find it), so that didn't seem too exorbitant to us, not that we know anything about such things.
We're going to meet with our builder at the house next Thursday hopefully, so will have a better idea of how things will progress then. But we do know that it needs re-wiring, new kitchen, new boiler, new central heating system, and possibly moving the gas meter. Plus we want to extend over the garage and morning room, so both those will have to come down as we are sure the footings won't be good enough to take another storey.
Off to do some gardening at the house in a moment, so will catch up better later.0 -

Oh wow! It's certainly baby week here on the reno thread. Twins Maggie, how wonderful, you must be so excited - are you doing the joy dance :j? Actually, June's not that far away really, get those knitting needles clacking away :rotfl: . Congratulations to your DD and SIL.0 -
Another bit of info for TM- We had our baby on the 21st Feb @ 9.36am, a little boy called Alexander (but called Alex).
He weighed 7lb 10oz, and has a full head of hair and huge hands!
The birth itself was hard as I lost about 1.5 pints of blood and it was forceps delivery which was an emergency in the end- his heartrate kept dropping further and further down.
Love him to bits
I couldn't go upstairs for the last 3 weeks of pregnancy so hubs did some diy work up there and finished the bedrooms- it looks great and I am so pleased that it was done before Alex's arrival.
