Free Email Server like Freeparking.co.uk

Options
Hi

I currently use Freeparking.co.uk as my email server and on the whole I am very happy with the service. However, I am wondering if there are any others out there that offer a similar service particularly an IMAP service. I would be willing to pay for a service if I thought it offered me more than I am currently getting but I must be able to use my own domain.

Does anyone have any suggestions or am I already using the best service?

Thanks

Google Mail is excellent, been using it for years (where have you been?!) you can check it through an e-mail client or the web and get the web version to check your other accounts too.

But it's not the same as your free server.
  • I have heard of Google Mail but as you say it doesn't do what I want which is having a free email server. I am looking for something which is similar to what Freeparking.co.uk offer but that also offers IMAP.

    Thanks
  • Heart Internet provide a free hosting account that will give you IMAP mailboxes on your own domain as well as much more. Check them out at http://www.heartinternet.co.uk/freewebhosting.shtml

Google mail, does offer IMAP free, see here.

The only things it doesn't offer is domain management like your free server company, as it's not a domain host.
  • Ok Heart Internet does look good but whats the catch? I can't believe all this is offered for free. How much space does each mailbox get?

Yes I know it offers IMAP but I would have to use a Gmail email address and I want to use email address @mydomain.com.

 You can do this if you set it up correctly!

Also in your e-mail client you can force the email address to be that of your domain, most people with multiple domains do this.
