When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.
Hi to any new posters and a big shout to the usual gang:j
Today I will:
Hope you all enjoyed your weekend, welcome back to a few old faces, who seem to have appeared over the last few days:D .
Have a good day everyone, catch up with you later.:D

Good morning sophiesmum and all who follow. I hope everyone is well. It's lovely and sunny in Sheffield today but it probably won't last

Today I have:
* Had breakfast at home and brought my dinner into work.
* Checked online banking... all is as expected. Just waiting for the spare change I banked yesterday to appear.
* Checked for surveys. None yet today but will keep an eye on them.
Today I will:
* Photocopy my passport in order to get Kaupthingy-whatsit application ready - just waiting for a bank statement to come through at the end of this week and then I can send it all off.
* Remember to bring my pay slips into work tomorrow... for some reason, I didn't get the £50-odd tax money back when I should have this month and I need to chase it up.
* Remember to bring my offer letter in for the qualification work are going to pay for. I need a letter from them to say they can be invoiced.
* Do some more washing when I get home. 30 degrees and line drying if it's still sunny. If not, I'll decorate all the airing places in the house with pants
* I'm planning on today being a NSD like yesterday. Don't think I need to go shopping tonight. Will go on the exercise bike instead and lose some pounds that way
* Keep working hard and keep smiling!
Have a good day everyone. Every minute that passes is another minute closer to the weekend again!0 -

- And I'm going to try and work out how to set up one of the signature-thingys that you all seem to have (and I enjoy seeing)

Morning all :hello:
It's still sunny here at the moment, so I'm enjoying it while it lasts
Taking all your advice about the saddle crisis, I am diverting my payment a day from A&L to tesco visa until the amount is cleared (tesco are lower on my debts as their APR is low, in comparison) I started with £324.50 and paid £20.29 today. Those sharper eyed friends of mine will notice the amount went up a little, that's because I had the opportunity to buy the matching bridle:o:o I'm going to post on this thread how much I pay off each day - prepare to be bored
andan - a shorter list!! are you putting your feet up at last?
today I have/will- post 3 ebay items
- post 2 amazon parcels
- come to work
- bought in lunch and breakfast
- check on-line banking
- fiddle with spreadsheet
- have a NSD
- ride horse (sort of free)
