NO danger of you running out of things to do...good news about DS's school as well, very unusual for schools to take this up as a sport. I had to make do with Hockey and Netball and not forgetting.............Chess.

Funny, I just said to a friend yesterday when we were talking about the Icesave stuff: In a rather bizarre way, I think it's the first time I've been glad that I'm in debt rather than having savings. If I had money in the bank I'd be worried and wouldn't have a clue what to do with it to be safe.

Lets just hope it sorts itself out quickly and everybody's jobs are safe.

bob, the school didn't really do anything for the ski team - the four children who make up the team are part of the race circuit and set it all up themselves, they just persuaded the deputy head to sign the authorisation form! Hopefully now they have won the National title at their first attempt, the school will be a little more forthcoming with the whole thing!

Seaxwyn, nice to see you! What have you missed, urm, well, I have had a very stressful week at work so done little else except work, work work and collapse! I keep threatening to declutter, but it just isn't happening

I didn't realise, just sat here talking to my children about it and they were impressed with the school, they are now impressed with the children for setting it up themselves..as am i.:T I do believe they show the Hypno spirit:D

It is just any excuse to race really!! There are several good skiers at their school so they could easily put a couple of decent teams together next year. The school do support them a lot with their sport, but I think the thought of trying to run a ski team was just too "new" for them, so they left it to the kids to do themselves. Thankfully it worked, so I think the school may take it further themselves next year.

And yes, a chip off the old block - they can't do housework either......the tidy gene has missed another generation
