Yes, I'm back and waiting for my turn in the bath!
I did my half marathon in 2 hours 21 mins which is nicely under my target time that I had secretly set myself. I deliberately didn't say anything because I didn't want to put pressure on myself, so I didn't even declare it on the running club thread until this morning!
The children both did a 5k, and both did 27 or 28 mins so excellent work from them.
I am really glad that I did it - it is the first one I have done for over 15 years! And my time wasn't that far off the times that I was regularly doing back then, so on 7 weeks training, I don't think I have done too badly!
DD had first bath, and now I am just waiting for the water to heat up and then I am off for a soak!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
