Bit of a day at work, managed to get my wrists slapped  I need to stop being the one who always points out issues with things, everyone knows they are there but I am the only one willing to be difficult sometimes...I've decided I've done it enough now and I'll just keep my head down and get on with my job now.

Sounds like me ...I'm a monkey for sticking my oar in (Would you believe?)

Never mind Rach - at least you're not a doormat and we all know what happens to them...

They know about you lot know (my colleagues)- I was complimented on my muffins (ooh err missus) and asked where I got the recipe - well it was G&B's wasn't it...I took them in (from the freezer as they don't keep) as it was my birthday last week ***(hears cries of no really Valli...we didn't know LOL)*** and we are expected to provide goodies. First time I have ever taken in home made...

Well was up early and dried washing in TD as weather forecast not good - all except for DS football kit for school which had to do on the maiden (far more sensible colours than his Chesterfield Town team - claret and blue - this one's for you Uncle Alf - come on you Hammers...) so have ironed that lot and it's now airing and have been to Mr M's with a list (good) and DD (bad) but bought them doughnuts (reduced) and 4 loaves at 9p each so the freezer's full...:money:
Now I need to make a list for tomorrow and Friday...

Freecycle is a wonderful idea. However
    Rant alert
I replied to a 'Wanted' end of last week - to be collected on Sunday afternoon.
Message Sunday evening - his lift had let him down - OK not his fault - re-scheduled for Mon afternoon.
Mon came and went, so did Tuesday! I emailed him. Apology and re-scheduled for this afternoon.
Guess what? No show, no message. Don't know whether to email him again or just forget it
    Rant off.

Dusty - send my love back to Soappie. Hope she's ok! About the shoes - they're supposed to be snug and do give a bit but they need to be comfortable. Why not try some fives on and see what you think? xx

I've had another eventful afternoon:rolleyes: . I put some stuff in the BM earlier to make pizza dough, it did it's stuff then beeped, i went to take it out and it was still the same as when i put it in. I hadn't put the paddle in:o . i tried to rescue it by mixing then kneading then leaving to rise, but it was no good. So, i thought i'd make pizzas out of some pitta bread i had in the freezer. The microwave is broken so i couldn't use that to defrost them so i decided to put them in the toaster. I put them in and pushed the button down and it wouldn't work. We had egg, chips and beans instead:rolleyes:

So thats a new microwave and toaster i have to buy now.

I'm going to find my list then i'll be back to update.
Oh holly - what a bo**ocks!!! you are having a bad week arent you honey??? get onto freecycle and see what you can get to keep you going!

personally I preferred the egg and chips myself!!!

how is DS doing - any developements?

Hugs toots and seeing as you asked i'll give an update though it's difficult for me as I don't normally like to chat about her. Actually, there is a flylady question in here too!

Spotty dotty pretty doggy puppy poppy (or Poppy for short) has had a troubled day. We were out walking and then this wet stuff fell from the sky and she didn't know what it was. She just sat there and wouldn't move looking up at the sky. Bless her! Of course, all the rain has put our back garden under water so she won't go out there for her wees etc and she won't do them on a walk either. By lunch time I was worried so stood with her (in the pouring rain!) at the side of the house for 40 minutes. Of course, she decides to go when i'm finally through to the tiscali service people who i'd been on hold to for half an hour. I had to tell her she was a good girl for going and think I made the service engineers day...he was in stitches! This brings me to my question....she's decided she'll poop etc on the path at the side of the house. This is the path my client's use. I'm cleaning it up immediately and hosing the area down. Should I disinfect too and if so how often?

Did I tell you she does a good impression of the hairy character in star wars...? :rotfl:

If it were me I would disinfect it each time -thats me though - but you may find that the smell of the disinfectant will put poppy off doing it there which would be a bonus. MY affie didnt like the rain either and I would walk him for ages until he gave in! It was better when I got him a rain jacket - a barbour type thing - might be worth a thought until he gets used to the rain - and then there will be the snow!! oooo thta shoud be fun!!!!

  • "Sarahsupergirl nice Mr Shattered or is it superman?!!! Hope the toddy helps - plenty toddy juice here - not allowed it anymore - boo hisss *** !!!!"

I don't feel very blinking super at the moment babe! Mr Shattered is in my good books for making me very nice toddies, which, if not helping, are making me feel so squiffy I almost don't care!

Ms Tootles, I think that it's really rotten that you can't drink any toddy juice! Have you prodded your nice Macmillan Nurse, I'm sure if you asked very nicely you could have the occasional one! ( I know I know... you really can't, ) I just really hate that you've got so much to deal with, and you can't even have a bloomin drink.

You're always so cheerful babes, I don't think people realise just how much you've got to put up with.... at least perhaps the people that don't post on here very often. I'm saying no more. :kisses3:

For some reason i can never get into freecycle  .

Ds1 has had his £2 back off the boy but i think the phone has gone for good. He's going to check with youth club tomorrow to see if anyones handed it in. I doubt it though. We've had a chat and he says everythings ok in school so maybe i'm worrying more about stuff than he is.

Actually the egg and chips was really nice.
