Hugs to Casey gald you and your baby are ok take it easy today.

Sarah that sounds like my perfect day as well.

Yes Dusty the same one, i don't think he's having a great time, his old best friend won't speak to him anymore and he seems to be spending a lot of time on his own. I'm getting really worried. If i try and talk to him though he says everythings ok:confused:

Spendless take the old ones to the charity shop or nearest doggy rescue, then he can't put them back! Oh and microwave dishes, I say keep them, £30 they wanted for a replacement for mine. Yes I am a horder too :o

holly big hugs for you and your DS, some kids are just plain awful, my son asks why he can't have a phone (he only wants it to play games) but that's exactly why. I am sure it'll sort itself soon, kids bicker all the time and are always falling out. Fingers crossed it sorts itself sooner rather than later. Oh sorry I'd be tempted to pay the brats parents a visit even if it does come back! I shouted at a kid last week to leave my DSs coat alone as he was pulling on it, he's always picking on him and I got sick of it. Since then other parents (who are fully aware this kids a little ****) have commented how much calmer he's been. All I said was 'get off his coat now'. I don't think he'd ever been stopped from being a PITA before.
One day I might be more organised...........

I know that I last did this job 12 months ago when dd started school, cos me and dh had one of our famous rows about de-cluttering (he is a hoarder and arguments have included why we should keep a glass microwave dish for a broken microwave that is too big for our current microwave and why we should keep every coat-hanger:confused: I recently got rid of a bundle of 0-3 months hangers, our youngest is 5 years old:rolleyes: ).

mil might have got us some as she is fond of giving practical gifts,
    :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I've got one of those OH's!!! :rotfl: Will the b*gger allow me to chuck anything out??? This is the man whose logic dictated that when we moved house, we should pack everything and sort out anything we wanted to throw away when we'd got to the new place!

He is such a hoarder, that when the company ('A') he worked for was taken over by a different company, he brought home the original sign with the company logo on it. Now, if he'd been with company 'A' for years and years, and had a sentimental attachment, then, I could understand it, but no.... he'd only been working for company 'A' for 6 months when company 'B' took it over!!!! If that makes sense!!! The shed is full of his [STRIKE]carp[/STRIKE] interesting and useful stuff.

I have to remove stuff by stealth because he hates to throw anything away! :D

It's not my MIL, it's my mother that likes to give practical presents! She bought me a suitcase for my 18th!!! And I'd already left home!!! :rotfl:

you convinced me, the towels are going in recycling box before he comes home.:shhh: the microwave dish was the flat plate that didn't fit and it went long ago.
OH argument for keeping the towels was in case of a leak, kids being ill etc but we only use hand towels and bath sheets and if I'm going to make kids use 'their' towels for bath-time and swimming I still have a few bath towels that can be used in emergencies.;)

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I won't tell if you don't!!!

I discovered long long ago, that if I want it gone, I have to remove it from his sight, before he spots it! If he sees it, it goes right back where it was. The best way, I've found, is to bag something up, put it away, and see if he notices that it's gone.... I can wait for a year, even two on that. If it's not noticed, I figure I can chuck it with impunity!!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Anyone fancy a HHC???? I need some motivation! ;)

Pigpen how is your sister (the one who is expecting)

She is complaining.. she has backache, heartburn she is tired and fat and fed up.. and she has loads of hospital appointments but the baby is thriving on it so she must be ok lol.

She keeps texting me at odd hours asking if it is 'normal' to be breathless or unable to eat huge meals and how to stop the baby trying to escape up her throat.. lol

We are having a pink one.. :D .. currently called Flossie

Having a rather extended coffee break here - but I did do the kitchen to Level three before I switched on the pc!:D

Now I just have to drag myself away to do the livingroom. I'm leaving the bedroom till tomorrow, as it suits me better.

The livingroom would be easier if it didn't resemble the workroom of some techie department - it's a sea of computer bits and wires, cables, plugs, rechargers, etc. DS1 has built his own computer, but it isn't completely up and running, as it keeps switching itself off. He's been waiting since January for OH to send off the dodgy screen from the main pc, so he could have his own screen back, and now it still doesn't work. I'm going to ring our local friendly techie and see if we can get it sorted, and I can reclaim my sittingroom for leisure purposes. Oh, I forgot that there's also DD's computer tower as well. as that's also 'being fixed' - ie left here and doing nothing....

liuhut - congratulations on the job! I've not long gone bak to work, and it is scary at first, tremendously exciting too! The money's especially nice!:D

mudbath - that's a lovely pic of Poppy, she's beautiful. Looks like she's going to be a big girl, judging by the size of her paws.
madcasey - I was just wondering where you were, and I hadn't thought you'd be in hospital for that reason. Babies are very well protected indeed - I was in a car accident when I was expecting DS1, and he was fine. You need to look after yourself though, definitely a feet up day! There, that's an order!

holly - Starting secondary school isn't always very easy, but it does get better. DD went without any particular friends, and it was half term in October before she really found some new friends. If you are concerned, then ring the school. Depending on their set up, there will be a form tutor, or head of house, or pastoral manager or head of Year 7 and they should be very happy to help and reassure you, or keep an eye on DS. Where I'm teaching, we are all very happy to have parents in to sort out any problems early on. I would talk to the parents of the boy at youth group, if possible, he cetainly shouldn't be asking for money, and if he tries it once, he'll probably do it again. The youth group leader may also help.

Just digesting the rather large lunch of leftovers I've just scoffed.

Trying really hard to keep on top of the emails - it is not getting any worse but I haven't made all the progress I would have liked - going to do 10 more in a minute.

Holly hugs for your DS - hopefully he is just finding his feet.

Think I'll update my list to see what is left.

AnWsMum - I've been discussing with DP about maybe one weekend when there is just 2 of them travelling to Worksop (we think there will be a couple) that I could get a lift, if you wouldn't mind putting up with me and my 2 for a few hours I could pop over to say hello. I think, going by postcodes, you're about 10 miles from where he goes on those Sundays. I can pinch the car while he's busy of course. Only issue I then have is setting off at 5am....

Wooohooo that would be fantastic :D just let me know when and we'll set a date ;)

    Hi guys
