Toochoosey - I'm using the smiley as desensitisation therapy (I nearly got sent to London Zoo to do this, but absolutely refuse to go and make friends - I mean, why would I want to??). Incidentally, am I the only person who has problems seeing the word written down? I think the smiley is BETTER than that!

Valli - I have to admit I do print my payslip and file it every month! So I'm not sure how much paper it saves, but it certainly saves delivering them. Fitted sheets - they're a pain to iron (and don't fold up in the airing cupboard neatly), but they're easier for making beds (especially ones up against walls), and because they stretch don't really need ironing. Don't you find it harder work making the beds with flat sheets? Towels - I agree. Different colours for different members of the family. Makes it much easier. And visitors towels are different too! Conkers do work. I keep them on the stairs (although nothing seems to scare the REALLY big ones!). If your DD has real problems, then plug-in electromagnetic/ultrasonic is the best way to go (along with keeping everything VERY clean and tidy!!).

Hollyh - well done on climbing the hill

Kindlesgirl - sounds like you made the most of the good weather

Thank you all for the positive feedback on the interview. It should make it easier when everyone at work finds out...:o . If any of you have any problems I can help with, you're welcome to ask (just bear in mind that I'm an ex-techie working in compliance and know more about the WEEE directive and copyright law than how the nuts and bolts of the business work, so it may take a while but I can usually find the answer/someone else who can help).

... and the work thing was boring... can't be bothered... will talk to them tomorrow...

Off to work out what to wear, pack my stuff for swimming tomorrow am and yoga in the evening... and make my bed to sleep in!

Toochoosey - no idea why flash won't download... clues would be useful! Does it give you an error message? I know I can't download for work because of a. the firewall (don't have permission to get things through) and b. permissions on the laptop (don't have permission to install), but if you're on your own PC, unless you have a firewall and the settings are wrong, this shouldn't be a problem.

Try downloading Adobe Reader or Shockwave player and see whether those work.

I have a feeling someone on this thread (was it Pigpen?) mentioned a while back that they had a mooncup... any suggestions on the best way to clean it? I've had a bad couple of weeks, and it's looking... grubby :o

Toochoosey - then I can't see any reason why Flash wouldn't install. There may be a problem on the site, or it might be a conflict. See if you can install it after Shockwave (this may overwrite some parts of any old version of Flash). If not, try again tomorrow as it may be an issue on the site. You could also try uninstalling any old version you have first.
  • still installing?
  • Well, I had such a great time at the Harvest Supper :D I haven't laughed so much in ages! We had a short service, then food and then entertainment which ended with the clergy (all 8 of them) dressed up in Abba-style 'costumes', singing various sings from Mamma Mia and 'performing' dance routines:rotfl::rotfl: And all for £1.50!!!

Right - my list for tomorrow:

Minging Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room
    Level One
    Clear and wipe kitchen surfaces
    Level Two
    Clean the oven & hob
    Level Three
Dust any extra furniture in dining area, checking for cobwebs on way round
Wipe and replace all those small appliances.. kettle, toaster etc ..
Choose one small appliance to clean thoroughly..
Clean door fronts and insides & fronts of appliances.. don't forget those kick boards..

    Extra Mission : help yourself

    1. clean the fridge..
    2. Wipe down any tiles and shine those taps.. a toothbrush is great for cleaning away the gunk!
    3. 33 fling boogie.
Also - pay money into mortgage and do food shop!

    My M.A.C.A.W challenge this week is..............to do 50 sit-ups a day!!
