The helpline was asked for therefore the helpline was given

Actually they asked if there was a helpline and as far as the OP's circumstances go there isn't really. The number you gave only applies in specific circumstances such as buying windows separately or general MS UK queries but in the OP's case (to quote Microsoft themselves) with Windows already installed "your best option will be contact your computer manufacturer for support."

Do note that as it is an OEM version of Windows, Microsoft will charge you for helping you.

I've heard that PC-World are pretty good. If you leave it with them then they'll sort it out.

It's hard to tell by text alone if you're being sarcastic or not.

Generally speaking, PC world have a terrible reputation for blindly solving PC problems by formatting and re-installing, with the owner having a limited say on what gets done.

Search these forums for PC World and see the reputation they have.

if the pc is working fine i won't worry about performance score.Just state any problem you have and someone will be glad to help you.

I did once have a problem and had to phone Microsoft and my problem was not solved.I solved it by searching similar forums.
