Donald Robertson may combine hypnotism and CBT. However this guide produced by the Royal College of Psychiatrists does not mention hypnotism once. http://www.rcpsych.ac.uk/mentalhealthinformation/treatments/cognitivebehaviouraltherapy.aspx
There isnt much in that link that isnt covered in a basic NLP course. I note however the amount of treatments and presumably the cost would far outweigh what would be expected in hypnotherapy but then I knew that anyway. I cant see much if anything in CBT that I dont do in hypnotherapy in half the time and I certainly dont take 2 to 4 sessions to see if it is right for the client as it says in your link
Who I am is not important. What I do is.
  • I stopped smoking 10ish years ago using Alan Carrs 'the easy way to give up smoking'

It also worked for DH and my MIL.

If you were to order it fron your library it wouldn't even cost you anything to try. It is an odd experience - you have to smoke while reading the book!! Cannot promise it would work for you, but it DID work for us. I haven't had one since, and I don't even think about it now.

good luck - these are all tough

I second the Allen Carr method, OH and 5 friends have all stopped smoking after reading one of his books (note I don;t say given up smoking, one of the basics is there is nothing to give up). I did stop (and restart) a few times with the books but attended one of the clinics (paid for on Tesco clubcard points) 6 months ago and am absolutely breezing it.

    Well recommended
  • Hypnosis has been around for centuries & is very affective for all manner of issues.

Self hypnosis techniques can be learnt quite easily, pop into my group & ask, visit Amazon - they have good selection of books.

Hypnosis is a natural state, so it is not something that your subconscious mind will find alien.

Visiting a hypnothrapist would probably be more beneficial, either for instruction or for formal hypnosis.

As you have anger issues at present, you may benefit from learning how to simply relax the body in the first instance.
