Hi everybody
Sorry I haven't been on for the past week or so. Was involved in a car crash last week. I wasn't badly hurt or anything, but it's going to cost me a fortune in terms of my excess and loss of NCB.
Today I have two loads of washing out on the line
Done all of the online surveys in my inbox
Walked to the shops (okay that's because I don't have a car at the minute, but I'm classing it as a money saving exercise anyway
)
Bought loads of baking ingredients, and going to have a go at baking some goodies this afternoon (I also had a coupon to use at Sainsburys so that was even better).
Sorted out my fridge, freezer and cupboards, so I have a much better idea of what needs to be on my shopping list
Downgraded my usual Sunday joint to a joint of brisket which I'm pot roasting as we speak.
Decided on my target for the October grocery challenge.Debt free since December 2015. It can be done0 -
Well doner everyone - it's busy Sundays all round then! I CANNOT believe the length of your To Do List andan :eek:. You have my respect! And congrats to dozygirl for the first NSD, may it be the first of many - well done :beer:.

Afternoon. Been a very long time since I have posted on this kind of thread but I am feeling the need to do so!
So what have I done today....
* Put a mini load of washing on and dried it outside.
* Been to Sainsburys and stuck to list EXCEPT for buying some things that were much reduced that we use a lot of anyway - these will help to make dinners in the coming week.
* Resisted taking filthy car to hand car wash - fiancé then hoovered & washed it when I got back from supermarket!
* Had a 'use-up-from-freezer' lunch
* Put a tenner in savings account! I am determined to get into the habit for when overdraft is gone (or at least down to the interest free £250 level!)
Hope to get back into this thread habit daily now.

A big thank you to all who posted encouragement and wise words. I do feel better now and know it's just a case of 'getting on with it'. That's life isn't it.
This forum is amazing and this thread in particular, so big thanks from me, I hope you have a great end to your weekend and a positive start to Monday. Hope you are OK Karb, even if you're not 'hurt' it still shakes you up
Belle
xGetting there...slowly!
GC : must do better
NSD: very rare
No matter how slow I go I am lapping everyone on the couch.0 -
I had the remains of last night's veg biryani nuked for breakfast (cost £3.80 last night and I had about 1/5th of it left so refrigerated the left overs).
Heated up a naan bread I'd got from the Coop for tea. Half price offer at the moment so that was a 27p tea in 5 minutes with no washing up
