Rik, I wouldn't bother. That has to be his most transparent attempt to start a fight yet.

Im just stating a fact. That in THIS case I dont want anyone thinking that contrast ratio 'doesnt matter'.
I could write an entire essay on tvs and what to look for but thats not the question here. It was simply ~ whats the difference in THOSE tvs.
    No worries Marty :)

It also has 3 hdmis as opposed to 2 ~ in which case I would REALLY recommend the TH-37PX80B as everything will be hdmi soon as scart etc gets 'phased out'

Any by the way. My answer to Torres is simply because hes an absolute scumbag that just jumps from thread to thread generally taking the p*ss

Thank you all for the advice and information.

I have ordered the Panasonic TH-37PX80B. Think I got a pretty good deal, works out when taking everything into account (i.e. Rpoints, cashback on cc and a 2% voucher) at £599.

    WRONG ;)

If its by the SAME manufacturer with the SAME 'basic' model number then its clearly a step up from the model before it

  • PED does indeed stand for Pedestal stand, you can get just the screen without any fixings, so make sure it will meet your requirements.

It still has no meaning, a 50% increase of a made-up number is still a made up number

yes the figures are BS (As with most things)

    BUT

Theres clearly a difference in whatever the MEASURED figures are
