Cheap Kids coat on Debenhams website - but is it boys or girls??

  • LOL, my son would wear those, what are you talking about......

Doh!! Now I need a new coat for DD if this is a boys - can anyone push me in the right direction of a decent coat she can wear for school - one that does not look like it is being worn by the mitchelin man who has jumped into a vat of tar and has been greased up 'ready for action'. And one that is not going to cost me £30. All they do is roll around the playground on them and ruin them.

    LOL.
  • How about one of the ski jackets a load of us bought from Adams...

£10 :) and they are fab quality. You can return in store for free too, so i just ordered enough to get the free delivery, adn then took the extra stuff back for a refund :)

It has £30 on the tag too, so it's a fab bargain:beer:
  • definatly looks like a boys to me, but would still put it on my daughter, as she is a tom boy!!!

Yes I looked at the Adams ones, never thought about ordering extra and returning it though. Genuis! Got to pop out shortly but I'll have a look to see there is anything left in her size. Thanks.

I would say boys as its not fitted like a girls coat normally would be!! Looking at the girls version someone posted on here I would say thats more fitted. I wouldnt put this on my daughter (she is only 1 tho............!!) its too boyish looking I reckon!
  • Debenhams overcharged me so beware of this, the packing note states a difference price to that of the website and the confirmation and they took the higher amount from my card. Just to make you aware really. But a good buy considering what I have seen coats for on the high street!![/quote]

    BEWARE OF THEIR CARD!!!!

i was charged double my statement a while ago. and 2 months ago, i was over charged by FIVE THOUSAND AND TWO HUNDRED POUNDS and over two months down the line im still waiting for my money to come back to me. yes it may be a bargain now but is it worth it, especially as it looks like its not uncommon to be overcharged by them. also when i spoke to their ridiculous customer services, it doesnt seem such a big deal to them. so guys BEWARE!!!
  • hi all. Just wanted to clarify it all for you.
I actually work at debenhams and this is infact a boys coat. it was in our school wear range for boys. there has been alot of people that hve found it under younger girls on the internet and this was a fault that our it department has recognised.
  • Be careful of Debenhams sizes they are extremely small fitting

saradeacon, do you work for the direct side. The service I received from them is absolute rubbish, I will never, ever shop at Debenahms again!! I guess I am lucky enough not to have to have one in my high street so I ahopped online but the customer service is shocking. Despite the girl in the call centre telling me that she could see I should have been charged £21 and not £27 there was nothing she could do. She tried to tell direct I had been overcharged but they said I had not and there was nothing she could do about it. She told me I was best off emailing head office as they would deal with it. They didn't!!

What is all that about. Endless phone calls and emails later it has still not been sorted. I've been promised some sort of refund this week so I'll wait for my CC statement in a few day and see what they have refunded me. If it is not enough then I am just going to go to moneyclaimsonline and get my overcharge that way. Life is way to short to spend chasing and chasing on an 0845 number when one department tells you that you are owed the money but cannot give it back and the department that can give it back tells me I have not overpaid.

Let them tell the judge for all I care!!

I will never, ever shop at Debenhams again as it is far more hassle than it is worth and the direct side are most unhelpful. What an absolute shambles for a company such as Debenhams.

BTW, I got some girls coats form Laredoute last week in the end - kids coats for £6 and £7.20 (bigger sizes cost more). Also got a parker for £5 and a spring jacket for my son for £5 (as well as good other number of things).
