i bought one today instore, its currrently £9.99 with the 0-6 months cartridge for wrapping them up in, normally priced at £11.99 for the cartridges, the nappy wrapper normally priced at £29.99

If you can grab one in store then £9.99 is a great offer but go quickly. While the offer is on until 18 November, it's also "while stocks last" and, as often happens with deals mentioned in our weekly email, at that price they could sell out fast.
This is a normal retail pack that comes with one cartridge included in the box.
If you're buying online then the additional £4.95 postage brings it up to £15. While still good, other stores such as Asda and Tesco often have it on promotion at this price so there's not such a rush.
Mothercare's also selling packs of three nappy wrapper cartridges, size 0 to 6 months and 6 months+, for £9.99.

In the bounty baby pack you get a voucher for the nappy wrapper for free from Argos.
You would have to be insane to pay £29.99 for a bucket and some cling film.
Not that we bothered as it is environmentally unsound and no good for when you are on the move.0 -
I believe the voucher in the bounty pack is for something far inferior. By the way 4 packs of cassettes can be had for a tenner at TescoThe thanks button is here to the right. If you find a post saves you money, gives you useful information, or you agree with it, take a second to thank the poster!

Completely unnecessary and environmentally very very unsound. It is bad enough to put disposable nappies in a bin bag, but inside lots of non-biodegradable small sacks in binbags should be a crime. These things should be banned. Also as it is actually illegal to place human feaces in our rubbish all nappies should have the fecal contents removed and scrapped down the toilet, these would stop the nappies smelling so offensive.
I am no saint, but I try to use the more environmentally friendly nappies and only use binbags that are biodegradable and made from recycled materials (available in Tesco's, Sainsburys) If you are really unable to cope with your child's nappies then you can but nappy sacks from Nature Baby in Sainsbury's which are made of maize and biodegrade-ohh but you have to put it in the sack all by yourself.
However if you like the idea of your child's excrement and nappies being around to pollute their world when they themselves are having children, then I am sure that these nappy wrappers are a great idea.:starmod: I am not that savage :heartpuls But I am a Vixen :staradmin0 -
This is about a deal for something that people are quite capable of making their minds up about, so eco-evangelists IMHO don't need to hijacking the thread.

I had one of these as a gift from my workmates when I had my first child, they were brand new and all the rage at the time but I wouldn't recommend it. The bin will stink after a while and the smell sort of permeates the plastic and doesn't go away - especially once you start them on solids. You end up not emptying it apart from once a week and when you do the smell is enough to knock you out. Plus when you put a nappy in and push it through the little gripper things the smell comes out and hits you full in the face.
Ok ok so you get it, the stink is bad.
Apart from that, I though they were a bit gimicky and the cartridges are so expensive. There's no reason why you can't just put the dirty nappy straight into the normal household bin, you don't even really need to bag it up imho. I didn't bother using it with my daughter, I think I gave it to Oxfam.0 -

Yes but it is also about not wasting money and imho those bins are a waste of money. If something is really cheap but completely useless and unnecessary then it's a bit daft to blindly recommend it and tell people to go out and buy it.
Edited to say: also whilst I agree with a lot of the post about eco-friendliness, I have to add that when you have a little baby and you're just trying to make it through the day at the beginning, you do whatever is easiest (and cheapest usually) and 'is this eco friendly?' isn't what most mummies are thinking about tbph.0 -

Offer in Bounty Pack is now for nappy bin at £4.99 (£20 discount) with one cartridge. (I got my Bounty pack 2 weeks ago when baby no. 5 was born.) Doesn't wrap them individually but does keep the smell in and uses far less plastic than nappy bags. Cartridge has lasted nearly two weeks so far which isn't bad as I have 16mth twins and newborn baby going through nappies at high speed.0 -
DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!I bought one of these (half price in Mothercare) when my son was born 3 years ago and they are rubbish. The lid broke very quickly and the turning mechanism to seal wrapper didn't work at all.Plus the smell when you have to empty them......My second baby is due in 5 weeks and my friend has given me the Angelcare system which she was given free in the Bounty pack in hospital via a voucher - register at www.bounty.com. Think you now have to pay £4.99 for it.My tip is to buy a cheapo lidded bin and use bin liners (or those supermarket plastic bags you get when you don't have enough of your own bags with you when you're out shopping) and put a Neutradol air freshener in bottom - and empty often!!!0
