Although shows they look here a lot less than our paranoid suggestions suggest.

But yes, this thread was not your brightest moment. I feel I am pointing out the obvious when I say a gubbing or limiting would be a positive outcome were a bookie with your funds to find this thread

Agreed. Best off asking someone here to change your username and leaving it at that ;)

Do we really think the bookies are going to run all their members aliases against the aliases of MSE / Rpoints / TGU / Betfair etc. forums just to see whether they have any "coincidental" match ups ?

Personally I think that a lot of bookies are quite likely to have members called Captaincaveman and Mrhenry1... because those aren't particularly obscure names... as aren't the names of a lot of 'regulars' on the boards...
like Tim_L, Grumbler, Tomwakefield, Thor, RedXIII* etc...

... Are there are perfectly innocent mug punters who have had their accounts closed / limited because while searching their desk for inspiration for a username they happen to have picked the first two items they saw... Dongle & mouse ?

(*for those that don't know RedXIII is a character in Final Fantasy VII - a Computer Game that has sold over 10 million units worldwide, and so not obscure at all)
Between Jun '08 and Jun '09 I made £5K matched betting
Between July '09 and Dec '10 I spent it all
So I'm back to do it again

And now at lots of bookies, mug punters accounts in the name 'stantheman' have been gubbed... :rotfl:

I'm quite sure you can change the title of the thread when editing if you're that worried
