So true - so true!!!!!!!!
Just for those who have been watching this thread untangle over the last 6 months:
My trustee has now been appointed, nice woman, very understanding. They have valued my house and I await their decision on what happens next. There doesn't seem to be any equity in the house so the next move would be for my missus to buy the trustees interests.
It's now been 6 months tomorrow since the bankruptcy and I can say that life is not SO bad. It's a little hard to adjust to not having a credit card to pay for things, but the lack of bills and mail is very nice.
I'm still under the doctor for depression  and my '' counsellor '' (That's what they call a shrink nowadays) seems to think that it would be good for me to give up work - LMAO. And of course she will pay all my bills and put food on the table for my children!!!!! Welcome to the real world lady.
There are many paths to tread to find true financial enlightenment, some of them are clear of obstacles, others have huge piles of doggie DooDoo in them in which one can easily tread. The journey is not made easier by the fact that the financial institutions blind fold us before we set out on our route.

sorry to hear you are still unwell, but good to hear your Trustee is reasonable.

Hi Eef,
I've just skimmed this thread - what a story! You certainly don't seem to have taken the easy option in going b/r and have really been through the mill with the death of your best friend and trying to save business after businees - I don't think I'd have your strength.
Good luck to you - keep posting and keep us up-to-date with your story.

Hi Eef,:hello:
Thank you for your thread. I just wanted to wish you luck with it all, and also wondered how you are getting on, now that its coming up to a year after your bankruptcy day? Have you got a date for being discharged yet?
Sorry for being nosey, but I'm (finally) about to go bankrupt myself and even though I've decided this is the only way I can move on with my life, I'm still really worried/scared.0 -
Hi red sky.Good pal of mine has gone bankrupt and to his surprise it all went very well. The judge was fine and also was the OR.He hasn`t got property so there was no issue over his home.Still not heard wether he will have to downsize his car but what the heck> I wish you well with it and i am sure it will be fine.0

Thanks Pobby,
I don't have any property and my car is a bit of a heap, so I'm not too worried about that. Its more the after-effects etc, although by having had a terrible credit-rating for the last few years, I'm already having problems as a non-bankrupt. I'm trying to rent a flat at the moment (been staying with a relative, but want to move out before go BR) and all the letting agents want to credit check etc, so don't know what I can do.0
