Concord 5.1MP digicam - £29.99 Misprice!! [CLOSED]

Having examined the delivered camera, the Concord 5040 looks like rather a bargain for £24.99 or £29.99.

It comes with:

32MB internal memory (box over-stickered from 16MB)
Soft case
2 x NiMh rechargeable AAA batteries
Mains battery charger (for AA and AAA)
Wrist strap

It's very slim and has a metal case.

My eldest daughter will love this camera!

In reply to one of the comments above, if you have ordered this camera by clicking through from the previously 'out of stock' 3.1MP camera, I would say that Empire are, in this case, fully within their rights to supply the 3.1MP camera if it comes back into stock. You are of course, quite free to return it for a refund.

Also, I suspect that only a handful of us will actually get the Concord 5040. I was one of the early viwers of this post.

Plus a crap dinner service into the bargain for free!

I've just called Empire..apparently the camera is out of stock and they are expecting it in on the 11th...

I just called too and was told December 11th - also asked for my customer number so I could check my account online. They have my order as SG7142 but I have confirmation email for SX7366. Tried phoning them again to query it and spent a very confusing 10 minutes trying to explain the problem, came off the phone non the wiser, except I can return it if it's not right.

Have done exactly the same as you this morning...but I was told to email them with all the screenshots i have...and if they cannot give it to me at that price then they will cancel my order or I have to pay the full price

just received the 3.1mp which is going back, as the 5.1mp is coming in a week or so, perhaps by then they would have received my printout and sorted the correct price.

To be honest, if I get the 3.1mp camera at £24.99, I'll be more than happy! A great Christmas present for my grandson.

Have sent them an email now with a copy of my confirmation email - just have to wait and see I suppose.

I didn't order SG7142, I was checking the electrical special offers (thanks to the op!!), I checked the availability of this camera, but that was it. It was out of stock and the site suggested another camera, (which obviously as we know was a far better deal!), which I ordered, this was the 5.1 pixels one

I find it unbelievable that they have swopped my order for another camera, without even notifying me.

At best they could have made out that the mispriced camera was soldout.

In my mind they have substituted a lower quality camera to that that I had ordered, for the same price.

What do you think. Anyone know whether they can send goods that haven't been ordered?

Personally if I receive a camera I didn't order, but they take the money I will INSIST they give me the one I did order. And if they won't then I will simply threaten them under "Loss of Bargain".
