Kazzea wrote:Cuppatea - PHONE THEM - its the easiest way to get this sorted out otherwise it will drag on and on for ages whilst you wait for a reply and then any other replies thereafter. I had this problem before and whilst it was eventually sorted out (and yes we kept the points previously collected) my family missed out on a lot of points in the meantime
Totally agree. Phoning them is always the best way to get things sorted out quickly.

Yes, Cuppa. Bite the bullet and make the call. I absolutely hate using the phone, but it never turns out as bad as I think it will!
I'm sure that the genuineness of your case will be evident in your voice, and they will sort you out. You are surely not alone in having a number of family members, legtimately subscribed and using the PB site, to do so from one computer. Another worried PB-er was talking to me about it last week, in fact.
PB are rightly concerned about fraud, and I'm sure that there are instances of someone creating memberships for various family members - maybe even fictitious ones - who never actually look at the site. I don't blame them for trying to put a stop to that. But if your family are genuinely using the site, then I don't think PB would have a problem with that. Their Ts & Cs are quite clear, after all: it's one account per member, not per household or per computer.
I'm sure they don't intend to exclude from membership anyone who doesn't have a mobile phone, as that would rule out older peole disproportionately. Good news folks!!! Can't believe it, maybe Karolina or Darragh were looking at MSE when I posted, but I've just got an email from her saying the accounts have been reinstated. So happy, makes me feel a bit better now as I've had an awful weekend feeling poorly (not to do with Pigsback).
My Mum has just come in from the kitchen looking for me, and she is best pleased as well. Got to go, she's lingering over my shoulder with soapy hands, must do housework when Mother visits!!! She's really good to help me out.
See you soon MSEr's and thanks again Pigsback.

Great news! I'm pleased for you. Glad PB were reasonable, and even better that they were pro-active.
Hope you're feeling better, too!Much of the social history of the Western world over the past three decades has involved replacing what worked with what sounded good. - Thomas Sowell, "Is Reality Optional?", 19930 -

Cuppatea wrote:I am so fed up! Long story, but last Friday Pigsback sent an email to say they were unsubscribing my account, my husband's, my Mum's and my son's because the accounts were flagged as being accessed from one computer. They said the accounts don't meet the criteria of one account per member. These are definitely accounts for individuals, yes they are accessed through one computer, but by different people.
I have sent them an email saying that they are accounts for individuals but as yet have not heard anything back. They did also flag up an Irish account (which was there from the pre-UK days), which had been used, but I have said it will not be used again. This is the only thing that was wrong with the accounts.
This all started because my Mum had enough points to get Boots vouchers, but did not have a mobile phone to get a validation code, so an email was sent to Pigsback asking if they could validate the account. They emailed back and asked for her details saying that this was to prevent duplicate accounts. An email was sent with her details and then the reply came saying they were unsubscribing the accounts.
As I said I have sent them an email apologising for any problems caused and identifying individuals, but not heard anything yet. So warning to all other people, make sure you make them aware if more than one person has a Pigsback account using the same computer.
I know some other MSE members had a problem with this a while ago, please could they let me know the outcome and if they were reinstated did they get their points back and any rewards already applied for. There are several Boots vouchers ordered and somewhere in the region of 5000-6000 points still outstanding on the combined accounts for the individuals.
Darragh, Pigsback, please sort this out. We have all been loyal members and enjoy using Pigsback and Karolina must know who we are from the above details.
Very unhappy Piggies wanting to return to the sty!!!:(
is this not allowed then...as both me my husband and daughter all use the same computer but individually do pigsback!0 -
That's fine howdy. Its just occasionally pigsback find accounts coming from identical computers and so investigate. As shown above, if its all worked out to be different people the account is re-instated.Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move

Quick thick question.
I have only ordered from pigsback once before and had a validation code.
I ordered £10 worth of boots vouchers on the 23rd (nov)and I have not seen an e-mail or any validation code since.
Is that right they have taken the points off my total.
I am sure I read somewhere that it is only 1st time that you order you need a validation code. Is that right?

Hi,
Have been earning my 20 points a day from the quizzes that are posted on here for the past few weeks, but also notice that you mention being updated with clickthroughs on a Monday-do these all appear on one screen/how do I find the ones available to me?
Many thanks,
