Quidco explicity state on their page to click through for Apple that they will not honour cashback on already discounted Edu purchases, but I'll be interested to hear if the money ever reaches your account...

It will get rejected. Apples T&C's on product promotions in conjunction with other offers.

I couldn't find anything to that effect, but it doesn't really matter. It's still a great deal even without the Quidco.

I'm sure I read on here somewhere that there were people that had had quidco from apple education before. I certainly have through the non-uni store.

Will have to wait and see.

I checked yesterday and it did (after you ordered) and checked again today and it doesn't, and almost encourages teachers and students to use both, great!

It looks like they have changed the T&C's recently, including the apple website from when last I checked so you may be able to get it.;) Nice bonus.

"This Promotion may be used in conjunction with any other Apple promotion available unless expressly excluded by the terms and conditions of that promotion, and is valid in conjunction with Apple’s Education Customer pricing."
  • It's here!!! And it's STUNNING. I love it :j :j :j

Just one problem though. Cant find a firewire 800 cable anywhere locally, so I can't migrate from the old mac to the new

Just use an Ethernet cable, ideally a cross-over cable between the two, but the Macs have autodetecting ports if you use a normal one, it'll sense this and enable it to work correctly.

Or connect a normal Ethernet cable to your router from each Mac for the same link.

Then enable file sharing and copy everything over from old to new.

Got no cables here - I'm at my home from home ;)

I have ordered a firewire 800 cable from ebay (£3 all in) so will wait for that to arrive. I've been to PC World twice already today and I can't face going again to be fleeced
