yea the reason i want a netbook is because its small, i dont mind the screen sizes, i have an inspiron 6400 from dell, but its getting on a bit. and now i need to get a bus to commute to university, so im trying to get as lightweight as possible. i'll just put a bit of ram in my dell and have that as my main media station.
I think i'm going to get the acer aspire one, comet are selling them for £179.99 which i think is a bargain!heard they are quite good! also a note on the aspire, i think its only 95% of the size of a normal laptop keyboard.
i do understand it might be quite annoying to some, but i'd choose it over carrying the extra weight around on the bus. lol.
Thanks people!
If you're used to Dell and liked the 6400, try Dells Mini 9.0 -
I bought a Linux based Acer Aspire One 1GB 120Gb netbook and I am so far very impressed. If I didnt have a larger laptop my netbook could easily become a primary browser / emailer and occasional document creation station!
The Linux version should be easily adaptable for people already used to using XP. Mine was £244 well spent IMHO.

Ahh, is Linux easy to use? I've always used Microsoft (95, XP and now Vista) and I find it quite hard to change to new things! Eg I won't use Firefox because I'm just so used to IE! (Although saying that, I've recently gone to Chrome and wish I'd changed from IE sooner)
