Post Office Opening Sundays

I saw the vans going round emptying post boxes this morning but I thought they did anyway.

The post box next to ours has a signon it saying sunday collection hours.

i recall being surprised at seeing the PO opened at a Tesco once, on a Sunday. I was on holiday at the time , a couple of years ago...I assume its still opens on a Sunday!

I think many/most postboxes have a single sunday collection, and I'd heard about some offices being opened on sundays in the run up to Christmas, but today I was amazed to answer the door and find a postman deliverying a standard 1st class package! Had definately never seen sunday deliveries before! Something to look forward to tho as means I might actually be at home to recieve some of the parcels insted of having to go to the depot to collect :j

The only disadvantage to sunday delivery is our postman delivers at an ungodly hour sometimes which gets the dog going sunday is the only time to sleep past 8 when our daughter shuts her door 3/4 times and then says sorry did I wake you!

I know I went today & was served instantly, very unusual for that PO!
