Still, well done!
Bless you. I hate colds, I'm doing well to avoid being struck so far. I've normally had 3 by now. I've got a huge work load on as well as OU stuff, so I'm expecting one as soon as I stand still enough for one to catch me.0 -
I'm doing well. It came today and has gone already

Although I can't wait for Xmas, I really, really can't wait for next year, I'm gonna be a-debtbusting. 2009 will be my year, Jan, Feb & March all planned out. March is going to be brilliant. I'm hoping to overpay the Vanquis by £888, which will mean PaD of £29.60, plus one minimum payment of £62. That'll wipe out 2/3 of it's outstanding balance.:T0 -
After a mini debate between Good DFW & Bad DFW they have decided that all updates must only show actual payments made, not projected, since with PaD starting next year, this could change. So my what's the cost snowball will show projected minimum payments, since these have to be paid, and will add PaD each time it's done. I tend to update it when the statments come in, before payments have been made. My personal spreadsheet will show payments made, which will be an accurate snapshot.. Which means, whoot, new spreadsheet to build and play with.

Pfft at those two. The actual amount outstanding is actaully £5,339.02. And that is including the questionable £66 paid to Vanquis, which wasn't actually paid. I have fallen out with both of them for that. Off to get the last few bits for Xmas tomorrow, still not been to council, may as well go after Xmas now, there's not a lot they can do over the Xmas period. Will just have to face the consequences.0

Paid some more bills today, well, transferred the money to where the direct debits will be paid from, so today £5,253.96.
And now I'm skint. Super dooper style. Still got some more Xmas presents to buy and a train ticket tomorrow.
Bonus is, by making OH have control over the weekly grocery budget, we haven't gone over once this month. For the first time, well, ever. I just simply refuse to transfer anymore over to the main account. It's working though. Only today she's panicking, because she's got to get the Xmas dinner with it, and drinks too. She'll manage, she always does.0 -
So things seem to be heading in the right direction! This time next year you will be debt free, I am sure!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0

I thought about you last night Hypno, just as i was saying to my friend the exact same thing, reminded me off you Diary title. I'm certain of it too.
This time next year I'll be posting my 'we did it thread'.0 -
Now I'm super angry. VirginMedia have only gone and taken £49 out OH's bank. They hadn't notified us, luckily she'd looked, else we'd have ended up with a charge on it. A&L have set up the new direct debit to go from there. When I called VM they had no record of any payment being taken, and stated the account they had for the DD was A&L. So they don't know why they've taken it, they're supposed to be ringing me back. I'm well and truly narked at this. Bloody incompetant. Luckily, I have an angel of a boss who gave me the money, so I sent OH straight to the bank to put it in so we don't get charged. :mad:0

Right then official end of month balance is............
£5,245.45
£291.70 or 10.05% paid off.0 -
Hi Evanesco - you are doing so well!
Just one thing... have you got a list of all your DD from each account, and the amount and the date each one going to come out? Takes a while to put together (and if your payments vary it will need to be amended each month), but it really helped me manage my money as I can see what is coming out and when...before, although I was keeping tabs of what I paid off, I wasn't looking at what was coming, which meant I kept running up charges when the money wasn't there.
Hope this helps!0
