    Hi!

I have been back 5 days now so really should have updated this earlier but haven't had a chance!

Went to the World Trade Center site and tribute centre, Empire State, Top of the Rock observatory on the Rockefeller, Central Park, Madame Tussauds, Ripleys Believe it or Not Museum, went to some bars, saw a musical and went to a comedy club where I have never laughed so much in my life and spent a lot of time in Times Square as my hotel was only 5 mins away including seeing some filming for a new Nicholas Cage film but it was stuntmen not him and its now on the news as a couple of hours after we saw it they crashed the Ferrari the stuntman was using!

Was supposed to go to Liberty Island to see the statue but was too wet, it rained most of my time there sadly!

Was amazing though, didn't do much shopping, brought a Hello Kitty statue of liberty top and a t-shirt from the Hard Rock Cafe and then just loads of souvenirs.

On the money front the ISA is a little bit fuller, I have paid in some cashback and bingo winnings and have £91 coming in next week to pay in so will be over £1300 mark then which is better than nowt. I am really skint for next 2 weeks because of the trip though and need to pay off my overdraft and credit card out of next months wages.

Still not counting myself as in debt though as won't be paying interest as all paid off in full when get statements.

hello lillmissmupp well done on saving £1300 i too have a savings diary which really helps. Is your OH on board now? You seem to have saved all this by yourself which is difficult. One tip tho is set yourself a weekly spends & food budget and more importantly not to withdrawl from from your savings at all pretend its not there!
Have you decided what you're going to do re house/baby as realistically you're not going to be able to save £18300 in one yr now!

    Hi cocalls :)

My savings would have been about £3500 now if I hadn't decided to go on holiday but I am really going to get back into it now and just see how things go.

I have been spending too much on rubbish lately and am planning to cut down on takeaways as I need to lose some weight anyway and spend less, they are my biggest vice as I am quite lazy :o

This may sound a little harsh but if he doesn't help me more with the savings when we buy our house I will be speaking to a solicitor to ensure if we split and the house is sold I get what I put in back so its not a 50/50 split as he is not gonna manage to save £10k and I know it, maybe £5k at most!

He is aware of this though, he is crap at saving but is slowly getting better with cash, with a lot of my help! He has had a credit card for a few months now and paid off balances in full on each statement which will help us get a mortgage easier.

Cheers, They make me wanna go back lol.

Well I am being a good girl on the Dooyoo front again, having gone to NYC helps as I am reviewing what I did whilst out there but I am hoping to get to £50 by the end of this month, should be at £5 by end of today so on average need to make £2.15 per day to do it.....mmmmm :rotfl:.

I am really excited about saving again now!
