Passport Office.

I just wanted to express my pleasure with the Passport Office.

I sent the application (for my 3 year old son) on Friday last week - they received it Monday and today they told me that the passport application had been approved and processed and the document is on its way back to us.

Supremely awesome work - provided it turns up as advised.

Shame the same can't be said for Royal Mail (see my comments in the Vent Board http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1177085).

I don't think that it is strictly a second post - knowing RM they probably just forgot to deliver it in the first post. lol!

I couldn't quite bring myself to pay the £7 for the check and send service so I posted my application off on a Wednesday lunchtime and the passport (renewal) was courier delivered at 10.10 am on the following Monday. The old passport was received back the same day via normal postal system.
