Twoleftfeet

Looks like the wife and I have been totally shafted by this company and after googling them I see why. If only I'd googled them before ordering!!!

We ordered a carseat some weeks ago worth £200. I'd heard nothing so on the 9th sept decided to email them to see how the order was getting one- no reply.

For the last few days I have been trying to ring them being put on hold on the aftersales service line (I use the word "service" very lightly) via their automated telephone system and no one picks up.

So I decided to call their ordering line. When I got through I spoke to a very polite young girl, well that was until I explained the situation then she just kept saying I cant deal with it ring the aftersales line. I explained that I had spent over 2hours over the last couple of days waiting for someone to pick up on that line without joy but surprise surprise as soon as I rang the order line someone picked that up straight away. Basically she wasn't interested even when I asked to speak to her Supervisor/manager.

I then threatened legal action as well as trading standards and contacting BBC watchdog which I now find out has already featured this company.

Basically now I have sent them an email giving them 7days to refund the money or I will press ahead with a small claims court claim.

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!

  • Yes took me the best part of 2 years to be refunded for goods they couldnt supply....

In the end got a solicitor mate to give them a ring... refund processed the same day.

How the hell is this company still being allowed to trade? There are so many complaints about the company when I googled it I got fed up reading them.

  • I have no idea... my issue was when I was pregnant with DD.. she was 2 by the time I got my money back.... mine was only £40 odd though but even so...

I was taken in by the quality of the website and wished I had googled before buying.

Good luck... I hate to say that you may need it!

Why Oh why do seemingly sensible people throw caution to the wind when shopping online?
Particularly when they are regular mse members.....?

Well you'd think somewhere with 10 years trading and a 35000 sq ft showroom would be a reliable place to buy from.

Take a look at the website:

Had me fooled and I'm usually very cautious.

Just had an email from them apparently my order has just been dispatched, amazing what the threat of court action will do.

I wont count on it arriving any time soon.

same with me... usually a savvy shopper.... but like you say looks very, very genuine...

Would reccomend Baby Zoop as a good website with great customer services btw.

They do look ever so legitimate.
How did Amazon, for example, get its first customers without people trusting it?

How can something just "look" genuine.
It's like anything, you need to check it out.
If anything,I think the site to me appears to be trying TOO hard-a warning signal.
This store is said to be one of the three largest independant retailers in the country. All these brands they are ordering come from all over the world, and they have massive variety, there are bound to be hold ups.The shop really is just a warehouse,I bet they supply to the trade too.Ok,maybe I am being a little harsh.

How could you order a carseat without first trying it in your car?
