I'm quite happy with the Sky Max package for £10 per month. :)

I get very close to the 16 Mbit downstream as well. But I do live less than 1km from my exchange with a fairly new line, so it should be reasonable anyway.

  • Switched over from Virgin Media following several months of problems & upgrade work that they just wouldn't tell me when they'd be finished. Now on Sky's mid-package (no point going higher as my phone line wouldn't support it apparently) and have been happy with service so far.

  • I've had Sky Broadband for about a year now. No problems whatsoever and much cheaper and faster than it ever was with BT for me.

That's correct, line rental is still payable to BT.

Have main line on Sky and have no issues-it's a life saver when the Talktalk freezes/crashes on the other line -which it does on a regular basis.have line rental with them as well. I have found customer service to be good-real human beings that you can talk to.That alone would keep me with them.

I moved from virgin to sky full package a month ago and it has been a total nightmare. Tv works fine but broadband , telephone and setting up email has been a nightmare and i have paid £20++ in premium phone calls trying to get it sorted and help has been the poorest that i have ever come accross. I even was leaving after a month as i was getting nowhere which is when i was put through to a person who actually sorted my email(they had not done it properly their end and partly something i had missed that the could have checked instead of telling me to ring microsoft!...they did not even check my settings.

Router still only works if i never ever turn it off but she is ringing me back to sort that as my upload speed is wrong aswell.

Phone also crackles when router is on .

If i had to make the choice again i would not switch from my ever faithful virgin broadband to sky horrendous broadband and service.
