sonyericsson f500i.... remove cover??
I have bought my son a sonyericcson f500i for christmas..Opened the box to check contents and make sure it works,then the next step was to take it to be unlocked for his o2 sim, however I cannot remove the rear cover to insert battery.Can someone please tell this incompetent technophobe how I do this..thanks

Lift up the back cover by putting your finger nail into the indentation at the bottom. Use slight pressure and it pops off.0

I had exactly the same problem......and while blushing at feeling so useless, called the helpline number enclosed with the phone. They told me to force it!

-Call centre open Mon-Fri, 9am to 6pm and Sat 10 -6.
Calls charged at BT National rate
They call themselves tmti (talk me through it) and apparently cover queries on all makes and models of phones.
The girl I spoke to was extremely helpful and actually went to find this phone, then opened it herself, before telling me how to do it.
