I have'nt been able to pay for my orange phone bill for 2 months, earlier last week calls from that sim where barred. My question is will by phone be barred if i fail to pay?

They can't bar your phone unless it has been reported stolen. They will just bar your sim and prevent you from texting or making calls.0

If you default on payments and continue to do so, at some (late) stage you are likely to have the IMEI blacklisted, yes. Orange are within their right to do this, and i think they do. can't tell you at waht stage, but probably after they've passed the debt to the bailiffs (which is often ~6-months from 1st defaulted payment)

can you not pay the bills or agree to pay X amount or see if they will move you to a lower tariff0

You can obtain software to change the IMEI number of the phone to prevent it being blacklisted as IME blacklist's are now shared between all UK service providers so moving it to another network will not work, flog the phone to some second-hand dealer and get rid, or as suggested find some software to hack the phone and change the IMEI number, shouldn't really be telling you this cos the "do-gooder" brigade will start blowing their whistle and telling tales to the site admin so act fast as you have two choices, change IMEI or sell phone and deal with the outstanding debt later. Good Luck.Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.0

advocating IMEI changing is a very odd suggestion. You might as well tell him to rob a bank.
it's not as easy as you think to change the IMEI on phone models past the DCT-3 stage as most have a hardware component-change required.
