I guess because thats an unofficial service and the more people go plugging it ,i imagine the loophole will end up getting barred.0 -
I hope not mobilegossip.
I agree with fbrj except, if you were stranded somewhere where you can’t get to a public phone for calling 0800 0192190 then the likes of Google SMS and the WAP Directory Enquiries Service would come in very handy, e.g. you may want to get a number of a taxi in that case these might help you get unstuck.
As with the websites offering free DQ services this is more a preferable form for some. Not everyone’s preferences are the same.0 -

Consider this if the 0800 no was blasted out to 1000,s of members on this forum its use would go up considerably, leaving the owners of the DQ site with a large freephone bill, after all someone must be paying for it.Which will no doubt lead them to see why the bill has increased, and possibly cut off number.0 -
I choose not to include the freephone number in the article. First of all because i believe it would probably have been pulled if i made the phone call.
I dont know the details of the scheme, but i suspect the freephone is an special number for a company's staff. I would caution people using it that there is a possibility your use it technically fraudulent.Martin Lewis, Money Saving Expert.

Hi, I just wanted to check that I am thinking right on this one. I have a contract from o2 where I get 500 free texts a month, so if I text to google SMS on 64664 then I'll just have used one of my free texts - no extra charges anywhere?
Sounds fantastic if that's the case!!
Thanks.0 -

You are absolutely spot-on. When I said I hope not, that was wishful thinking.0 -

I have just read the article and was surprised that there is no mention of the free directory enquiries via 118 111 at all times for users who have CPS routing through OneTel. Further advantages of the standard OneTel service include free local/national calls at weekend and a £20 call credit for new joiners.
Note: the referrer can also get the call credit if the new joiner cares to identify him/her when joining.0
