There was a Windows Defender definitions update today (1.43.702.0). There were also definition updates on the 19th, 17th and the 12th.
Had a Vista update on the 10th.In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?

If in doubt...switch it off and on. I have re-booted twice and the following update installed itself:

Installation date: 23/09/2008 21:48
Installation status: Successful
Update type: Important

This seems to be an update to update (?). I tried the links to the microsoft sites given but couldn't make head or tail of it! Can anyone translate?0 -

I just booted up Vista just now having sued it most of the day apart from this evening and they were 3 updates when I loaded up Vista on boot screen0
