I had been wondering about that. I guess they'll keep the halifax brand and the index as it has been running for a good few years.
The purchase hasn't gone through yet has it? I think Lloyds can still back out if they get cold feet.0 -

The way that I believe that it works is that LLOY have made a binding offer and the Board have recommended to their shareholders that they accept.
The next thing that happens is that the shareholders vote (you get one vote per share rather than per person so effectively the big pension funds vote) whether or not to accept. It's pretty unusual not to accept although far from unheard of.0 -
I predict that they will completely overhaul their indexing system and somehow come up with a rise0
