Tiscali = No customer service

I was with Tiscali for my telephone and broadband. They seem unable to set up a direct debit and have not taken a direct debit payment in 12 months, despite us phoning 4 times and giving them the bank details again and then trying it from a different account and still they never take any money, a fortnight ago my broadband got cut off, when we phoned they said that as they hadnt recieved a payment since april they had cut us off. No letters, no phone calls just cut us off!
When you try to phone Tiscali they have no customer service at all, all they keep saying is "can you make a payment to clear the account?" like a stuck record, ask to speak to a supervisor or a manager and you will be told nobody is available as they are all in meetings, no matter what time of day you call. When my OH did get through and speak to a supervisor he rudely said "I'm sorry I have a lot more important things to deal with" and handed the phone back to the guy that answered the phone in the first place.
They are absolute rubbish and I wouldnt recommend anyone goes to them.

Look at this another way, you have not paid for a year and now they have cut you off. I also know someone who this happened to and it was their lucky escape. Yeah its been cut off totally, so even if I pay up I would have to re-apply to get connected (like I'm gonna do that!)
Have just signed up with the Post Office, the lure of a UK based call centre was hard to resist after speaking to endless Indians with Tiscali. Its just so hard to get your point across to someone who cannot deviate from a script and doesnt understand that you cannot email a complaint if your broadband has been cut off (usually their first response when you say you want to complain about your broadband being disconnected is "Have you emailed your complaint to customer services?")
Now I know I'm on the internet now but I'm at work and cant access my Tiscali webmail as its been cut off along with my connection.Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!
