cheapest downgrade on 3?

Hi,
Am in the middle of an Otelo case trying to cancel my contract which at the moment doesn't finish til Feb 09.
Does anyone know if I can downgrade my contract now to as little as possible and which priceplan it would be?
I would like to get a new phone and contract elsewhere but don't want to be out of pocket.

Have you asked 3? Iwould guess the lease you can downgrade to is one of the £15 plans, but if you hae a phone that attracts a premium eg "video calling" I'm not sure that they wouldn't insist you stay on your current tarrif.

am speaking to 3 at the moment and they have told me I can't downgrade!I'm sure I've seen posts on here before about being able to do this,on their website it says that you can downgrade after 6 months if you joined 3 before june 2006(which I did) but CS are telling me that because I have upgraded in Nov 07 I can't!I argued that there wouldn't be any customers that this applied to as noone could have a 3 year contract,so what is the point of having that on their website!
As usual it's like talking to a brick wall!
3 seem to just ignore their own website and make it up as they go along.They must have very thick skin to work in that call centre,dealing with nothing but irate customers all day!LOL
