I used them to stop my little ones from bashing their heads everywhere!, but i made sure they were the ones with the tie-backs so they could'nt drop on their faces. Also, as its really cold now, its a way of keeping the cold of their heads if they don't wear hats.
No one said it was gonna be easy!

when i worked for vertbaudet (a few years ago now) i remember we stopped selling them cos of the danger of cot death or something. sure there was some law about it - may have been in france as french company. cant remember exactly but someone may know. we also took hood cords out of coats etc cos of risk of strangulation (that was def a legal thing) so may have been over the top but we didnt use them with ds1 anyway. sleeping bags are fantastic though - def recommend - also means baby still warm when u get them out to feed (even if u not!!).
Cleaning the house while children are growing is like shovelling snow when it's still snowing!

This is easy. Don't use quilts, bumpers or pillows for babies. It's just a ruse by someone to make money. Babies are cute anyway without all the excessive tat people try to sell us! Sleeping bags are ok but those 'nest' things are not AFAIK, you know like a quilted bag to put the baby in, but a proper baby sleeping bag is ok as it doesnt allow baby to get right down inside it, and the arms are free so temperature is regulated.

  • i used one for all three of mine, stopped banging heads and since we lived in an old drafty house at the time kept the drafts out of the cot. removed them when they could move and sit up safely.
