  • Soolin, also as an extra thought....after looking at the Card Charges and what previous threads had said, I decided to apply for an Electron Card from Halifax Bank for next time....as you know there will always be a "Next Time"

i booked flights a couple of weeks ago (using an electron card) to bratislava. from there, i catch the bus to vienna and stay for 3 nights, then get the hydrofoil and cruise up the danube back to bratisala for 2 nights.

total cost of flights £4 return, for 2 people :D

I did wonder about Vienna but when you get a fast ryan air connection and there are 1p flights everywhere (and last night everything I tried came up at 1p!) to be had you sort of go into panic mode..and just book the same as previously.

I must be more organsied next time!

  • I've been trying for ages with no luck. anyone going from glasgow? i've tried dublin, paris and milan with no luck. i can go anywhere at all though really, as long as it's in november. i can't find anything for november!

do you just have to keep going back and forward and keep trying different dates? what an annoying system.

any help on where i can go in november from glasgow would be so appreciated :o

  • jack thanks for all your help on this thread. can't remember if you were the OP but if not then thanks to the OP as well !

I've just booked flights from glasgow to paris (well prestwick to beauvais), 18th november till 20th november.

these dates are outside the advertised range (as far as i can see) but i stumbled upon them and they were free. well, 1p for each flight, no charges, no taxes, no admin fee, no charge for bags (i'll take a ruck-sack on with me) no card fee (used my sisters visa electron card), no insurance, no priority boarding.

so 4p altogether - and my sister is paying that lol. so free to me! :rotfl: now the next mission is to use this websites expertise to find a hotel for tuesday and wednesday night. any paris hotels goin' for 4p?

thanks again everyone i'm well chuffed. :T

I need to book a one way flight to germany but it is coming up as £30 (thats just the taxes and fees, not the actual flight) so im going to see if i can wait till it goes down to £10 or something.

they run these deals all the time, sometimes £1 seats, sometimes £5, sometimes £10.

it's well worth signing up to ryanair's newsletter, because you get to know about the sales just ahead of everyone else.
