I still can't find the 'free' flights! All my SPECIAL OFFERS are showing £15 or euro taxes and charges. :(

Damn Ryanscare getting me all excited about a day in London.... :(

Did you go through the main banner explaining what is or isn't in the sale?
It only applies to certain days of the week and then there is a whole period blocked out for travel between the UK and Ireland. I've found quite a few return flights for from George Best to Stanstead for a total of 2p

Just found a perfect free flight for my mum and sister to Ireland, but I knew it was too good to be true. Its a con !!

Even if you do manage to find a flight you want for free................you get all the way to the paying stage...............and suddenly you are charged an £8 per person "handling charge"

So they have simply replaced the taxes with a different name. I know £8 is still cheap but It makes me so angry that they can blatantly lie and advertise 100% free flights when they are clearly not.

i agree, the handling charge seems unfair, but there is no handling charge if you use an electron card though.

    Hi everyone,
I've been trying to book some flights to ireland everytime ryanair have an offer like this, but whenever I enter my (valid, definately correct) card number it flashes up with a window saying my number is too long.
Really frustrating...I was wondering if anyone else experiences this problem?
    thanks,
    archy

The most common problem with paying by a card on the Ryanair site is the Maestro/Euro problem. If its a Maestro card you are trying to use make sure the currency is £ and not Euros.

If thats not the problem, give us a bit more info on what type of card, departure country (assuming UK at the moment), currency etc etc

Can you not read ? I agreed it's still a good price, but my complaint is with the false advertising, not the cheap price.

And no, I wont get a new card just for ryanair

well, i've written them a kick-as.s compaint letter and posted it 4 times :T
  • Anyone tried using a non-electron card but naming it an electron? I know someone who booked on the phone recently, not with ryanair though, and they said we'll just say that this is a *** card and sometimes it'll work and you won't pay the extra credit card fees..and it worked! I was planning to try this but now can't find any free or penny flights.
