Well I've just spooned the mash over the bottom half of the shepherds pie in the SC and it seems to be going OK. But then I got a text off the people who are on the train saying its late and they are going to be delayed by an hour!!! So I hope it hasn't spoiled by then.2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040

Thanks guys (sorry I know it's OT) had a tough couple of weeks to deal with, and ironically today is probably one of the worst, so I'm here to try and distract myself from everything that's going on
And if I can be of help to anyone in the mean time, even better"An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"

I'm sorry that things have been tough for you lately. Please remember that you do help....keep your chin up.
Hugs,

Lovely to see you anyway CQ, and keep your chin up! This is one of the best places to forget your troubles, isn't it?
Re. the delayed train - I would say that is one of the prime reasons why a slow cooker is a great invention! However I do agree with CQ that it would be nice to have it ready for reheating while you and your guest/s unwind with a wee dram of something to take the chill away.
I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe

They usually want to eat as soon as they get in. My bf doesnt drink much (although I have ginger wine on offer if he wants it) and he's coming with his 15 year old daughter so she doesnt drink anyway. In fact shes on the net the whole time shes here so I probably wont be allowed on here all weekend.
Just looked at the Shepherds pie and it still looks OK. Will let you know how it tastes and turns out (if I'm allowed to  ).2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040 -
