    If they do, they'll only be selling them tied to a O2 contract, or on the expensive one off O2 PAYG - as that is the only two legal ways the iPhone can be sold in the UK.

    But not the type of contract that is sold with the iPhone with the data and minute allowance, so it may well not work!

    Pay & Go might be something to think about; I think they're doing free data for a year on the iPhone, and you can get quite a lot of inclusive minutes or texts depending on how much you top up every month.

    Not without a patch or data-text from o2 anyway, ive had to do that with previous new phones (like when we started being able to sent pics!).

    There's no real cheap option yet it seems...
