WOW now that is a result

have no idea if they would agree to a cheque.
id be tempted not to rock the boat and just see how they deal with it. unless its a substantial ammout more.

either way. well done and good on you.
looking at your sig your well on your way to becoming DF :D

    Thank you Iron Balls :)

Well........... I called them up and explained the amount outstanding on the loan is now only £732 and the amount of the refund is £1406 + interest and the person I spoke to said it would be much easier if they just credited my current account with the money and would send me a new agreement letter. This arrived this morning with a note to say that if I opted to have the money credited to my account rather than the loan then no interest would be applicable. The greedy side of me wants to whine and complain about it but the realistic side says be thankful for getting anything at all and leave it at that.. what do u guys reckon?

Also.... Today is the day I should start the court proceedings against LTSB for the refund of charges.. :D I reckon now I'll be debt free by the end of June if all goes to plan :D:D:D:D

Thank you :D am currently filling in the particulars for the court claim :D

I think it takes about 4-6 weeks from submission which is why I'm reckoning the end of June :)

hi i wrote to natwest and requested that my PPI be canceled. Today i received a reply stating that it has been canceled. Dint expect it to be that easy! but the repayment hasnt gone down very much.
on my origional loan paperwork it has these figures..

monthly repayment £198.82, comprising main loan repayments £159.59
    insurance loan repayments £39.23

having canceled my insurance my payments have gone from £198.82 down to £183.98. surely it should have gone down to the main loan amount of £159.59??
any thoughts on this would be appreciated
    thanks

I had the exact same thing! My payment went from £379 to £370. I wrote back asking them to explain exactly how this was calculated. I was not given a seperate PPI figure, but could work it out based on the APR and the loan amount and term, and it was something like £50 without interest and £75 with.

Three weeks later and still hadn't got a reply back so I wrote a very irate letter back to them and sent it recorded. They havent' refunded the premiums yet either, they keep just ignoring that part of my request.
