Still need to catch up on the gossip off the previous thread. Glad the off duty officer is ok. Wonder if they will sign him off sick until he retires, there is some scum out there these days.

Tis a big birthday week in Valliland - DS is 15 on Thursday and I am - oh let me see ... 21 +15 must be 36 then lol - on Friday!

MACAW Obviously in view of my great age...I will apply hand and foot cream every night...with any luck it'll develop into a habit - much needed since I wash up bare handed in very hot water!

Errrmm - do you think I should do this too then as I'm a teeny bit older than you

Oh, and Valli and Tag - I sorted my pegs this evening :p

  • Those of you chatting about magnetic bracelets, plasters, etc. - do you think they would help with my arm? If so, where do I get them and what might work best? I've been taking painkillers now for nearly 5 months and tbh I'd like to wean myself off them!!

Absolutely, my mum was a total sceptic and was amazed at the difference. Think she got her magnetic plasters in boots.

  • Before I forget - welcome to Mappygirl, hope you enjoy the ride

As for me I've done all I'm going to do as been up since 630 and was still awake at 130 last night and I shall be up at 6 again tomorrow for work so I'm cream crackered.

[STRIKE]iron all school for the week [/STRIKE]and [STRIKE]work stuff ready for the week[/STRIKE] well enough for tomorrow done :o
    [STRIKE]Make lunches for tomorrow[/STRIKE] - done

[STRIKE]Bag up meat and bread bought yesterday for freezing[/STRIKE] - done

Cant think of a MACAW at the moment and prob wouldnt manage to keep it up anyway so not going to worry too much.

PS pigpen - can we occasionally have the kids rooms earlier in the week as we usually begin to wind down after Wednesday :o and they dont get what they need!

Right me bed, hope you all have a good week

  • How do, y'all - up for my first Flylady (Flyfella?) thing......

It's one of my failings, you see - I can be a proper lazy sod when it comes to doing the housework. So, in the hope that I can turn over a new leaf, the (unfeasibly ambitious) plan for tomorrow is to do:

    Clear and wipe kitchen surfaces
Wipe and replace all those small appliances.. kettle, toaster etc
    Sweep and mop floors
Stock-rotate fridge, clean inside and out, and (the wife'll love this) MAKE SURE THINGS I PUT IN THERE ARE PROPERLY COVERED OVER!
Clear junk from dining table, wipe over.
Dust any extra furniture in dining area, check the little felt pads are on the bottoms of chairlegs still.
Wipe all the windows in these areas!!
Clean cupboard door fronts and fronts of appliances .. don't forget those kick boards.
Check those washing machine filters and drawers for ickiness!! Tumble dryer, cooker hood and dishwasher filters need to be done too!!
    Clean the hob.
    Wipe down tiles, scrub taps/sink/drainer

Yikes. That seems like an awful lot.... :(

Not sure about a MACAW challenge quite yet - seems like I'm doing quite enough changing by trying not to be a slob! Will see if I can think of owt, though.

See how it goes then - best of luck to you all!

Oh come on, don't be silly.

    It's the internet
    - it's not real!

Right I had better skidaddle for the night on account of the fact that the cooking batteries are still cooking and the 'replace battery' thingie keeps flashing on the screen I KNOW they need replacing! lol

There is also the fact that it is after 11pm and I really ought to try and go to bed at a reasonable time.

I'll attempt to be in but as usual with work and commuting some stuff will be left 'til the weekend. I'm glad its the kitchen tomorrow as I like it on a monday!

DH is still full of cold (don't i know it?!) and is taking tomorrow off sick, think he needs it. I'm finally caught up on sleep and don't have to leave til 8.30 or so in the morning so not too bad.

Managed to make a big and a small lasagne tonight (bulked out the mince with red lentils - fingers crossed DH won't notice, I know he def would if i used it as spag bol. SO that's dinner tomorrow sorted plus a double sized one for the freezer, and a load of cheese sauce left over to freeze too :) grrr, just remembered having done all that i forgot to make my lunch for tomorrow, oh well, peanut butter sandwich thrown together in the morning it will be!
