any good offers on mobiles
:-[after finding my mobile stolen today whilst I was at work ( >:(meaning that someone went into my pocket and nicked it, Lovely people I work with the little baskets), it looks like I might have toreplace it. I had a samsung c100 from in famous Samsung cashback offer of last Xmas, on payg with virgin.
Any good offers about, not bother about make as long as it is decent and under 80.00.
ps. does anyone know if virgin can transfer the balance of my airtime onto another sim if i was to buy another virgin phone, it just that i had about 24.00 airtime remaining on my phone. so i am really p***ed off. >:(

If you've registered the SIM with Virgin and you can put a stop on it before all the credit is used up than I guess that there's a fair to middling chance that you can get the balance transferred. I know that O2 have done this in the past for a friend of mine. However, if your SIM is not registered and you have no password set up with tehir CS then there's absolutely NO chance that they'll do this for you otherwise by now everyone would be stealing eachothers credit and number from under their noses.
As for what constitutes a good replacement, well, have a look at the Siemens C60 on TMobile from The Link. Only £49.99 (or £47.49 from Currys/Dixons with a 5% discount code). As it's on TMobile, it will work with a Virgin SIM inserted without the need to unlock it. Have a look at https://www.fwdcellular.com for Virgin SIM cards for under a fiver with £5 call credit. If you're lucky, Virgin might even be able to transfer your old number over to the new SIM card under the circumstances (no promises, but it wouldn't hurt to ask).

I would check out the Virgin site for reconditioned phones at very good prices. Phone customer services and see what they can do for you, they really are excellent. When my daughter "fried" her first sim, they set out a replacement with £5 credit on it free then sent out another with her old number on it.
When her second phone was stolen they blocked the sim and phone within half an hour so not only could the sim no longer be used but the phone was useless too. But, it was registered with them.0 -
Get yourself a Nokia 3100 with 100 xnet mins for £45 for the year from https://www.forwardcellular.com - just put the money up front and get the cashback in two months. You end up with the cash before paying the line rental.
I know its a contract - but its cheaper than PAYG - also the phone is small so stick it in your trouser pocket and you won't lose it. Its also a speaker phone so excellent for those calls made while using a computer.0
