Hey!
I'm looking for some advice for my parents about their package with Virgin Media. We don't know if what they're paying is too much or OK as they have friends who 'claim' to have the same things but cheaper so hoping some of you super folks can lend me a hand.
Currently (their latest bill) they have:
Telephone Line Rental £11.00
Talk Evenings and Weekends £3.45
TV Size XL (145 channels) £22
Sports 1 and Sports 2 £19.00
Broadband Size L (10MB) £25.00
TOTAL £80.45
They have a triple saving care offer on it just now which takes off £13 each month si its costing £67.45
Any advice? My mum is most concerned about the broadband being high.
Thanks
Hope x

Im no expert as have not been on Virgin for years but that seems way too much . Leaflets I get from them claim 3 for £30 but never really studied it in detail.
Im sure someone else more knowledgeable will come along but why not get a quote from sky ?, I have seen them advertising cracking deals. Or why dont you phone Virgin as a new customer and see what they offer .
I recently got a virgin phone only line installed for work and got £100 cashback from quidco ( if your not sure what this means let me know)
I pay freeview £0.00
bt line rental £11.00
O2 unlimited broadband 8mb ( actual 6mb) £7.50
primus free evenings and weekends
Ok I dont have as many channels but for £18.50.....
EDIT Look here http://allyours.virginmedia.com/?vmsrc=vmhpld , they are charging too much . Any speed braodband will do for your parents, they probably wouldnt notive the difference. On the internet you can be anything you want. It`s strange so many people choose to be rude and stupid.0 -
They need to downgrade the broadband and TV. Do they really need that speed or all those channels?0
