Zone Alarm stopping my phone synching

It must be an IP issue then.

Kill off ZoneAlarm and connect the phone.

Then open a command windows (Start > Run > Command or CMD)
Type IPCONFIG /ALL
and it'll list the IP address of all connections.

You'll see the mobile device's IP address - you need to add this to the ZoneAlarm trusted IP zone (Firewall > Zones).

So it still won't sync when ZA is running, but will when it isn't?

If so, it is definitely a permissions issues for the sync application (if in doubt, change all you don't know about to ? rather than a red cross, then when they require access they will ask immediately), or an IP issue...
