Crucial UK's price of 11.74 is good. If unavailable, try Funky Giraffe at 13.99.0

crucial also give 7% cashback through quidco, and free delivery
shopperholic - I've got my ert2250 page saved to my favourites for reference, suggest you do the same.
Word of Warning - the Uniwill spec (original manufacturer) recons 1GB max on the mobo, be cautious if fitting more than that.........Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple0 -
I'd strongly recommend that you use crucial. They guarantee compatibility. Often times with branded lappys and some times of mobo's,you can buy memory but for whatever reason ,the mobo doesnt like it and it doesnt work properly or other issues. Best just buy crucial then you will only buy once and save yourself a lot of frustration;.0

i just used Belarc and it says I have 2 slots0

It might be that theres one under the keyboard and one under the slot underneath, my compaq presario r4000 is like this, and they have used 2x 512 sticks like i mentioned earlier, unless of course its a 1gig stick and my last comment is null and void."Well, that sounds like a pretty good deal. But I think I got a better one. How about I give you the finger, and you give me my phone call"

shopper - on the UKT support forums I told you about earlier, look at the advent ert2250 sheet, it describes how to get at the slot under the keyboard, may be similar for your model.........Gettin' There, Wherever There is......

hi Gunjack
I had a look at that but the screws are different on mine, i have taken all the screws out and I still cant get the keyboard out!!0 -
This morning I called Pcworld and have spoken to 2 different people.
They have both said there are 2 slots, one on the underside and one on the motherboard and that they both hold 512mb.
The first guy said that i would only be able to swap the 512mb in the expansion slot for a 1gb making the machine 1.5gb! i have never heard of a 1.5gb laptop.
The second guy said i could put 2 gb in each slot but windows would only recognise 3gb, who is correct? could i put 2gb in expansion slot if only has 512mb at the moment? or would i break the slot?0
