Why won't this house sell?

It looks identical to some houses on a disused RAF base about 10 miles from where I live, they are nice little houses, lovely estate, just on the outskirts of a really nice village. A few years ago my daughter viewed one and put in an offer only to find out that the properties are of 'non standard construction'.
Im no expert (I could have completely misunderstood this) but I remember something about them being made of concrete construction which was explained to me as being prone to some kind of degredation/deterioration over time and that 'some' mortgage lenders would not consider them - having said that, many lenders would lend on them.
Is it possible that this property is of non standard construction?0 -
Quite interesting that 9 months after this was posted so many people are talking about the price

Just shows how much things have changed in 9 months, and I agree it was over-priced for the state it was in. The funny thing is, pre-2007 it would probably have been snapped up for that price (250k)!0
