I must say that house is smarter than any I've grown up in/lived in ... and the kitchen knocks spots off my parents' current kitchen (of the same age).

You lot have been watching too much property !!!!!! and forget how we used to live ... and how that was all OK and fine and you'd buy something like that and expect to do it up slowly over the next 20 years.

Bit late I know but I think from an average "person in the street" opinion it is not a quarter of a million pound house, no matter where it is, it looks like an ex council house and like it needs quite a lot of updating.

Also the picture of the outside is not very clear which house is actually for sale, i'm assuming there is no garage also?

Glad it sold though :) Would be lovely done up, greenhouse moved to end of garden and some peonies growing in the front garden, gorgeous against that cream paint! x

Inner terrace ex council house, only one living room with not very large kit(diner?). Not so desirable so not so high price.

The OPs post is a good example of the insanity of the current housing market.

What looks to me like a shabby ex-council house in need of doing up and you wonder why it doesn't sell for a quarter of a million pounds?!!?!

A quarter of a million pounds!!

That isn't a four bedroom house. It's a three bedroom house which hasn't yet had a bathroom installed upstairs at great expense! :p The garden looks like a yard with the greenhouse blocking the view, and the estate agents haven't even bothered to measure it.

My first impression before I read this comment was that it looked like a council house. Not that this is a bad thing because they are often well built and of good proportions if of the right age.

BUT the inside looks dire. How can you expect to ask for a quarter of a million pounds on a place like that?! No matter how many bedrooms, it is not well presented or in any way attractive.

You can get a really good house in Devon for that price. But I know nothing of Slough and it's draw.
